CONGRATS man! Glad you were able to make it after all. You worked hard on your car to not be able to bring it there, but I am glad you didn't have to miss the experiences.

Banana Dan

Welcome to the board. LOOKING NICE!

Avolow.

Looks like Carlisle was a HUGE SUCCESS! I was anxiously awaiting the reports from the field but figured we'd have to wait longer for stories and pictures, especially of the members themselves, but you guys are on top of it! grinning-smiley-003

So Chris, just how many '70 Chargers were there total (including the ones that you mentioned were not affiliated with the registry)?

Appears the registry was well represented and was standing tall! Even though I could not go, I'm awfully glad to be a part of the same outfit as all you guys.

Tolley

My wife didn't find any humor from me telling her we reserved ours for next year.

I'd love to make it an annual event so I could BS more with folks instead of being blown away thinking I needed to get a picture of everything. As it is I have close to 1K pix to sift through. Shock

You are a picture taking machine!! If it isn't in one of his 1,000+ pictures it didn't happen! Wow. Make sure you make a beeline to the Carlisle girls pictures for us.

Tolley,

All in there were probably around twenty five 70 Chargers there.

Not too shabby. Let's aim for 50 next year Mr. Green

In all my years of attending Chryslers at Carlisle, this was probably the BEST year yet! There were more '70 Chargers in attendance than I've ever seen before.

Don, it was a PLEASURE meeting you & talking the whole weekend. You & Chris did an awesome job. Bad88's car was fantastic too, and a great guy to boot. Mike is insane with that camera, gotta see pics!!! What a trip.

Of course it was great to see old friends, too. So many things to see & people to talk to, so little time. Can't wait already for next year! 25 '70 Chargers in attendance? Why stop at 50, let's shoot for 60!!
See ya's all next year.

It was my honour to meet the legendary Bill440RT anbet . Your car is simply stunning. Your attention to detail is amazing.

Maybe next year we'll get you doing seminars in the tent. food-smiley-004

I second that. Between TX9 Bill and Bill440RT I think we have all the technical support we need on this site. Plus the have the baddest 70's around. Is it July 2011 yet?

I have around 170 pix of the bikini contest & around 20-30 min. of video.

I liked #4 but she didn't even make it to the finals. I talked to her afterwards & told her she was robbed. She said the contest was all jacked up. There was an auction for a guest judge & he was supposed to have the final word. Instead they let that Lou character ramrod it. The guest judge liked #4 the best as well.

I was riding around minding my own business & these chicks came running up to me practically begging me to take their pic next to a beautiful dark orangery car. I immediately thought of Chris' car & started following them. (no pix or video of that)

Sure enough they walked straight to the boss' car. These gals sure knew how to spot a classy ride. wink

The pix aren't the greatest. I should have moved around or asked them to. Live & learn.

At the end of the burn out contest I struck up a conversation with a Carlisle Event dude who looked important. I told him I couldn't see shit so he told me I could get inside the jersey barriers at the stage. When I got there security said I needed a press pass. I threw out the important dude's name & he said no problem.

So we were at the stage edge. So close you could almost touch them...

Mike,

Thanks for thinking of me brother. cool-smiley-030 Please send the full size pics asap...you know the address. Mr. Green

Also a big thanks to Bill440RT, he let me park in his trailer Fri. & Sat. My ride leaks like a mutha, so it helped when it rained on Friday night. I owe you Bill. food-smiley-004

There were about 25 Chargers and like mentioned earlier, they almost all were registered and part of the club. I saw Registry shirts all over the place. Very cool. anbet

ps- They are still available. Great deals on all colors!!!! :[peace]: We are slashing prices across the board.
