Calling all 70 Charger owners:
As you may know, the Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals is one of the premier Mopar car shows each year. And each year they celebrate the 40th anniversary of a model year. Two years ago it was the 1968 models, last year it was the 1969 models.........next year will be our turn as the 2010 Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals celebrates the 40th anniversary of the 1970 Dodge Charger.....and of course those other 70 Chrysler models as well 
This presents us with a great opportunity to have the 1970 Dodge Charger Registry represented at the event. Both Chris and I will be there ( believe it or not we've never actually met ) and for me personally this will be the first major outing for my car. Our tentative plan is to have a large tent located in the midst of the 70 Chargers on display to act as our headquarters where 70 Charger owners can meet, relax and get to know eachother. Perhaps a large group photo. This is a great opportunity to have the single largest gathering of 70 Chargers since leaving the St. Louis Assembly Plant.
This thread will be be made "sticky" and will be the source for all info on our efforts to gather the clan in 2010. Hopefully with 9 months notice many of you can begin planning on how to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event.
As noted, both Chris and I will be there to greet the faithful. Mike (472 RT/SE) is tentative as he looks into the possibility of driving his plum crazy Hemi all the way from the Portland Oregon area. Please post on this thread if you will be attending and if you will be bringing your 70 Charger. We will keep an updated running tally of responses.

If you are bringing your car you'll need to register with Carlisle and under the Vistors section is a list of nearby hotels to consider.
** IMPORTANT ** When you register your car, in the registration form there is a spot to note affiliation to a car club....in the "Club" drop down menu please select 1970 CHARGER REGISTRY. If we get enough registrants under the club name we can get the HQ tent for free.
Please post on this thread if your are planning to attend, considering attending or have any questions, comments or suggestions about a 70 Charger Registry gathering at Carlisle in 2010. It's our year folks....let's take the opportunity to gather en-masse

What's happening Bill: Come on now; give me a break. lol
I had the worst year this year with the car. The first cruise of the year some ho bag's son slams her Corvette door off of the 1/4 and dents it then the last cruise of the year some guys dog jumps up on the door and claws his way down after I punch it in the nose.. lol
I'll be ready again for next year though. I'm getting started on the sunroof RT SE this winter so I'll be busy.
Carlisle should be a good time though... |

Hi Gang,
Well Don pretty much stated what is going to happen. Car or not, we encourage everyone to join in and be a part of everything. I'm sure Ron will also be around all weekend hanging out and helping make your ride go faster. 
Any ideas/suggestions will be appreciated.
I have been to Carlisle many times and stay at the Quality Inn (717)243-6000 , in Carlisle. Great trailer parking and very safe. Call them ASAP and get a room. There are plenty of other options that are a little cheaper just outside of Carlisle.
Just seeing my mug in person should have people lining up to confirm for the show.  
ps- No Vespas allowed on grounds...not my rules.  |

I'm looking forward to attending Carlisle already!!!
Our hotel rooms have been booked several months ago.
This year should be great, commemorating the '70 model year. I'm really looking forward to meeting many new members I only speak with on these forums. It's so much better in person, and to check out all their Chargers.
I'd LOVE to bring my '70, hopefully I'll have a truck by then to hook the trailer up to. (Chris G., I just left it WIDE open for ya!) |

as much as Id really love to I dont know how I could possibly get the time off to do the trip guys. Wish I could but with the economy the way it is and people dropping like flys where I work I dont know if I could risk taking the time off.
